He returned to his hometown of Porsgrunn after many years abroad. Here, he met some friends from the property business, and they all believed that it was possible for such areas to be given a whole new look. Together, they launched their first plans to transform a derelict area of Porsgrunn into something completely different.<\/p>\n<p>By 2004, Bratsberg had begun its first development project. <a href=\"https:\/\/bratsberg.as\/en\/projects\/bratsberg-brygge-and-oya\/\">Bratsberg Brygge and \u00d8YA<\/a> has now become Porsgrunn\u2019s new restaurant-hotspot and urban residential area. Companies and people were quick to move in to the caf\u00e9, shop and office premises, along with the 190 apartments built along the river.<\/p>\n<p>The name Bratsberg derives from Bratsberg Bruk, which was the first building the entrepreneurs rehabilitated, turning it into modern business premises. Bratsberg\u2019s head office is still located here.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][mk_fancy_title size=&#8221;26&#8243; margin_bottom=&#8221;0&#8243; font_family=&#8221;none&#8221; responsive_align=&#8221;left&#8221;]Driving force[\/mk_fancy_title][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1602140112562{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}&#8221;]Today, Bratsberg is at the forefront of urban property development in the region of Grenland, and a market leader in business property. The company strengthened its strategic interest in business property from 2017, with further purchases of properties associated with trade and commerce, logistics and industry. <a href=\"https:\/\/bratsberg.as\/en\/commercial-properties\/\">Bratsberg N\u00e6ringseiendom<\/a> is a company which develops, lets and manages business properties.<\/p>\n<p>Being a driving force, being responsible and open, still permeates <a href=\"https:\/\/bratsberg.as\/en\/about-bratsberg\/employees\/\">the people at Bratsberg<\/a>.
